Our Customer Service teams play a vital role in helping people access the care they need.
As a Team Leader, you'll lead a team of Patient Care Advisors, ensuring a high-quality, patient-focused service while driving performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
This role sits within our Lung Cancer Screening Service, supporting the early detection of lung cancer and helping to save lives. As this service continues to grow across the NHS and InHealth, you'll have a unique opportunity to influence and shape how we deliver care in the future.
Main duties of the job
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of Patient Care Advisors to deliver excellent service and achieve performance targets.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support individual development.
- Manage workloads and daily operations to ensure service levels, KPIs, and patient satisfaction are achieved.
- Act as a key link between your team and senior management, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, resolve operational challenges, and enhance service delivery.

About the RoleAs a Team Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day bookings function for the Lung Health Check Service, ensuring efficient operations and excellent patient experiences. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders while building strong relationships with your team to achieve service goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and support a team of Patient Care Advisors to deliver excellent service and achieve performance targets.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support individual development.
- Manage workloads and daily operations to ensure service levels, KPIs, and patient satisfaction are achieved.
- Act as a key link between your team and senior management, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, resolve operational challenges, and enhance service delivery.
- Previous experience in a customer service, patient care, or healthcare environment, with the ability to handle sensitive enquiries effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality, data protection, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience coaching, supporting, or leading others, with previous supervisory or team leadership experience desirable.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering excellent patient care.
