Customer Support Engineer

Customer Support Engineer Location: Slough (Onsite) Salary: £35,000–£40,000 Type: Full-time, Permanent My client, an innovative electronics design and manufacturing company, is looking for a Customer Support Engineer to provide technical support for its IoT and refrigeration control product range. This role combines customer-facing technical support with international travel, product troubleshooting, and close collaboration with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and online meetings * Advise customers on product applications, configuration, and troubleshooting * Travel internationally to support customer installations and resolve technical issues * Investigate product returns and produce failure analysis reports * Maintain customer support documentation and technical databases * Prepare product samples and technical bulletins * Work closely with R&D to support product improvements and technical documentation Requirements * HND or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline * Experience in technical customer support or a similar engineering role * Strong understanding of electronic circuits and schematic diagrams * Experience using electronic test equipment and soldering techniques * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Full passport with the ability to travel internationally at short notice * Well organised, self-motivated, and customer-focused What’s on Offer * £35k–£40k salary * Onsite role in Slough * Company pension and generous holiday allowance * International travel opportunities across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas * Exposure to cutting-edge IoT, GPS, WiFi, GSM, and BLE technologies * Opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary R&D team with excellent career development prospects
