Data Architect – Identity & Access Management (IAM) Contract: Inside IR35 Rate: Up to £400 per day Location: Remote – Leeds onsite 1 day per month Duration: Until August 2027 Security Clearance: Active, transferable SC Clearance required About the Role Exalto Consulting are supporting a major public sector healthcare technology programme seeking an experienced Data Architect to work within an Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) environment.

You will support a key staff identity/index workstream, designing data models and architecture that meet strategic business requirements while aligning with wider enterprise standards, governance and solution architecture.
Key Responsibilities Design, maintain and develop data models, including reverse engineering from existing systems.
Define data architecture, standards and patterns aligned to enterprise principles.
Support data profiling, source-system analysis and systems integration.
Design and assure solutions involving APIs, microservices, interoperability and metadata management.
Support data governance, security, data quality and lifecycle management.
Define functional and non-functional data requirements.
Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories and architecture documentation.
Communicate architecture decisions and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Experience Strong commercial experience as a Data Architect.
Excellent knowledge of data modelling, architecture principles and patterns.
Experience with APIs, microservices, interoperability and metadata management.
Strong understanding of the Enterprise Data Management lifecycle.
Experience across areas such as data governance, security, data quality, MDM or API management.
Experience defining data standards and assuring data solutions.
Strong analytical, requirements definition and stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable TOGAF, Zachman, PEAF or similar architecture frameworks.
Healthcare technology experience.
IAM, Single Sign-On or identity management experience.
Knowledge of messaging, directory and interoperability standards.
Knowledge of healthcare standards such as FHIR, SNOMED CT, openEHR or relevant ISO standards.
Security Requirements Applicants must already hold active, transferable SC Security Clearance .
