Job Title: Days Only Shift Leader Location: Farringdon, London Salary: £55,000 Per Annum + Overtime Opportunities Hours: 4 on 4 off Days Only | 7:00am 7:00pm Employer: Well-Established Facilities Management Provider Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer ready to step into a leadership role within one of London's most modern commercial buildings? We are currently recruiting for a Days Only Shift Leader to join a well-established FM service provider at a brand-new, state-of-the-art smart building in Farringdon. The Role As the Days Only Shift Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day engineering operations on shift, ensuring planned preventative maintenance and reactive works are completed to the highest standards. You'll play a key role in maintaining the building's advanced systems while supporting and coordinating the on-site engineering team. This position would suit an electrically qualified engineer with a strong building services background and a genuine interest in smart building technology and BMS systems. Key Responsibilities Leading the day-to-day engineering activities during your shift Carrying out and overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance Supporting the operation of electrical, mechanical and smart building systems Working closely with BMS systems to ensure optimum building performance Ensuring compliance with statutory maintenance requirements and health & safety procedures Liaising with the client and subcontractors where required Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing technical reports About You The successful candidate will have: A recognised Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Services maintenance Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience An interest in BMS, smart buildings, and modern building technologies Previous experience leading a shift or mentoring engineers is advantageous Excellent communication and organisational skills What's On Offer? £55,000 basic salary 4 on 4 off days-only shift pattern (7am 7pm) Plenty of overtime opportunities Brand-new, state-of-the-art smart building Excellent training and development opportunities Clear routes for career progression Opportunity to join a well-established FM provider with a strong reputation for investing in its engineers If you're an electrically qualified engineer looking to progress into a Shift Leader role within a prestigious smart building, we'd love to hear from you.
