Over the coming months, the Finance Director will gradually step back, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and develop into a more senior finance position.Whether you're already working within dealership accounting or you're a part-qualified accountant looking to build a career in the motor trade, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleThis is a varied and hands-on position where you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function and partnering with colleagues across the business.
You'll work closely with senior management, providing meaningful financial information to support commercial decision-making while leading a small finance team.Key responsibilities will include:Producing timely and accurate monthly management accountsPreparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reportingProviding financial analysis and commentary to senior managementBusiness partnering with operational managers across the dealershipCoaching and supporting a small finance team of fourPreparing VAT returns and ensuring financial complianceAssisting with year-end accounts and external auditsMonitoring financial controls and identifying process improvementsSupporting a range of finance projects as the business continues to evolveAbout YouWe're looking for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys building relationships and wants to make a genuine impact within the business. xwzovoh You'll ideally have:Previous experience within a dealership, automotive or motor trade finance environment or a strong desire to develop a career within the sectorExperience producing management accounts and supporting the month-end processExcellent communication skills with the confidence to work closely with operational managers and senior leadershipStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdvanced Excel skills and strong attention to detailExperience with dealership systems such as Kerridge, Drive or Pinnacle would be advantageous, although not essentialPart-qualified ACCA or CIMA (or actively studying), with full study support availableWhat's on Offer?Salary of up to £45,000, depending on experienceFull ACCA/CIMA study supportPerformance-related annual bonus of up to 10%22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service35-hour working week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm)Free onsite parkingLong-term career progression with genuine succession opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunity to work alongside an experienced Finance Director and develop your careerJoin a successful, stable business with an excellent reputation within the automotive industryIf you're looking for a role where you can develop professionally, gain valuable commercial exposure and build a long-term career within a successful dealership, we'd love to hear from you.
