Design Engineer

Design Engineer (Permanent) Working Location Manchester Contract Type Permanent Key Responsibilities Producing Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) design drawings and technical documentation Supporting design of new and existing railway electrification systems Collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated solutions Ensuring designs meet UK rail standards, client specifications, and best practice Supporting design reviews and technical assurance processes Liaising with project managers, clients, and stakeholders throughout project delivery Contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing across the team Requirements Around 2 years' experience in OLE design within UK rail Experience with industry-standard OLE design software Good understanding of Network Rail standards and design processes Strong communication and organisational skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status, preferred How to Apply If you're ready to expand your expertise in OLE design and develop alongside experienced engineers, this role could be your next step.
