Design Engineer

Our client, is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their highway and transport team. This full-time secondment with the option to work from home a few days a week once embedded in the role. Key Responsibilities: Designing and managing the delivery of 20 mph zones projects Implementing physical features such as road humps, chicanes, and pedestrian crossings Conducting road safety assessments and evaluations Coordinating and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders Ensuring compliance with safety standards and guidelines Preparing detailed design reports and documentation Overseeing project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery Providing technical support and guidance throughout project lifecycle Job Requirements: Experience in road safety and highway design Proficiency in relevant design software and tools Strong knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines within the highways sector Excellent project management skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification Benefits: Competitive rate Flexibility to work from home a few days a week Opportunity to contribute to important road safety projects Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are an experienced Design Engineer with a passion for road safety and highway design, we would love to hear from you.
