Design Engineer

You'll take a design from a sketched idea through to a fully detailed, production ready drawing. Every calculation, tolerance, and standard you apply matters, and your accuracy is what keeps things right first time. This is a role built around genuine problem solving, not just following someone else's spec. As a Design Engineer, you will benefit from: 25 days holiday + bank holidays Enhanced pension scheme Health Cash Plan Permanent Health Scheme Sick Pay Cycle to Work Scheme As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Produce layout, assembly, and detailed drawings from initial concepts through to full completion Hold design reviews and progress designs against key requirements and specifications Apply Design for Manufacture and Value Engineering techniques to ensure a smooth transition into production Select appropriate third party components and produce costing sheets for proposed designs Formulate technical specifications and ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and standards As a Design Engineer, your experience will include: HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline Mechanical design experience, including pneumatic equipment and circuit design Strong working knowledge of 2D CAD, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Ability to produce accurate detailed drawings and dimensioning to ISO standards Commissioning and site experience, with strong problem solving skills If you're looking for a Design Engineer role where precision and problem solving are genuinely valued, this is a strong next step.
