Design Manager – Residential / High-Rise 📍 Crystal Palace, London   💷 Up to £90,000 + Package 📅 Start Date: September 2026 📅 Permanent   An established principal contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager for a 45-unit RC frame, Higher-Risk Building (HRB) residential development in South East London.   This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager who enjoys working within a smaller contractor environment, where you'll have greater autonomy, visibility and responsibility for the project.   The Role You'll take ownership of the design process, working closely with the project team, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure information is coordinated, buildable and delivered to programme.   Responsibilities will include: Managing the design programme and information release Coordinating architects, engineers and specialist subcontractors Reviewing drawings and technical submissions Managing RFIs, design changes and design risks Supporting procurement and construction teams Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and HRB / Building Safety Act requirements Driving design issues through to resolution on site  About You Degree qualified in construction, architecture, engineering or a related discipline Proven Design Management experience with a main/principal contractor Residential and RC frame experience Good knowledge of HRB and Building Safety Act requirements Technically strong, proactive and comfortable taking ownership Happy working for a smaller contractor where you'll be close to both the project and senior management  Package Up to £90,000 + package, dependent on experience.
