Design Manager (Great Grid Partnership)
UK Hybrid Working Omexom is looking for an experienced
Design Manager
to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of National Grid's
Great Grid Partnership (GGP)
programme. Reporting to the Design Management Regional Lead, you'll play a key role in coordinating and assuring design activities across a portfolio of major transmission infrastructure projects. Working closely with project managers, designers, commercial teams and client stakeholders, you'll ensure design outputs are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Key Responsibilities
Lead design coordination and assurance across multiple energy infrastructure projects. Manage design programmes, technical reviews and interface activities. Drive design quality, compliance, CDM requirements and governance processes. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage key stakeholder relationships. Support NEC contract processes, design change management and risk mitigation. Contribute to tender development and continuous improvement initiatives. About You
Experienced in design management within the
energy, utilities, transmission or major infrastructure sectors . Strong understanding of
National Grid standards, processes and assurance requirements . Background in
HV substations, overhead lines, cable routes or other transmission assets . Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. Familiarity with
