About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
You'll be responsible to manage, enable and monitor the timely delivery of the integrated design (Utilities) and design-consenting programmes in line with the construction and overall project programme, and in consideration of quantities and cost implications
You have overall technical accountability on the overall coordination of all designs involving multiple design disciplines, its buildability, ensuring the coordination and integration of the PW with the Key TW designs
It will be key to establishes a collaborative working environment within the C23 IPT, to deliver best for project outcomes. Whilst liaising closely with the Design Discipline leads and other Technical Function Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure the delivery of designs with a consistent approach across the project, and in compliance with the relevant EKFB Management Plans
You'll ensures that Designers’ requirements for reliance information in the Section are timely articulated and then actioned by the relevant EKFB personnel. Guide and support the link and coordination with construction for management of topics such as utilities coordination with the construction programme as well assist the discipline lead in issues related to construcability, TW Integration.
Supports the Design Delivery Director with the commercial management of designers, liaising with the Commercial team as required. As well with the design risk management, ensuring that key risks are articulated and communicated to EKFB risk team for quantification and proper commercial management.
Have responsibility for reviewing and reporting design delivery performance in the section through (to include cost, programme, contract, scope, progress, change, compliance, governance etc.), in liaison and with support from project controls and commercial teams.
Ensures compliance with the CDM 2015 Regulations.

Design Management in large scale projects, leading and overseeing major civil engineering works within utilities.
Focus on the timely and integrated delivery of design and design-related consents
Management of commercial aspects of design contracts with a focus on overall performance
Strong communication skills at multiple organizational levels, internally and externally
