Development Engineer

Development Engineer Industry: opto-mechanical Salary: £35k-£40k Location: Great Chesterford An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Engineer to join an innovative engineering business developing advanced opto-mechanical products. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product development lifecycle, from early-stage concepts through to product validation and manufacture, while working on technically challenging projects in a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead engineering projects from concept through to manufacture * Develop new products and processes - supporting NPI * Plan and carry out laboratory testing, analysis and product validation * Produce technical documentation, reports and engineering specifications * Work with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and manufacturing processes * Support continuous improvement activities and technical problem solving Key Skills & Experience: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics or a related engineering discipline * Industrial experience in product development or R&D * Experience with lab testing, product validation and technical reporting * Understanding of mechanical design principles and precision engineering * Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills * CAD experience and knowledge of manufacturing or NPI processes is advantageous If you're looking to join an innovative engineering business where you'll play a key role in developing next-generation products from concept through to manufacture, apply with a copy of your CV
