About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic DFG Surveyor to join our vibrant Home Adaptations team. In this vital role, you will help elderly and disabled residents maintain their independence, safety, and dignity by transforming their living environments.
You will work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs), contractors, and local residents to design, specify, and deliver crucial home modifications—ranging from ramp installations and wet rooms to major structural extensions funded via the Disabled Facilities Grant.
Key Responsibilities
*
Technical Assessments: Conduct thorough property surveys to evaluate feasibility and determine necessary adaptations.
*
Collaborative Design: Partner with Occupational Therapists to translate care needs into practical, high-quality architectural specifications, drawings, and schedules of work.
*
Project Management: Manage DFG cases from initial enquiry and means-testing support through to final construction sign-off and invoicing.
*
Contractor Oversight: Monitor on-site contractor performance, ensuring adherence to building regulations, planning guidelines, and health & safety standards.
What We Are Looking For
*
Qualifications: Relevant background in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, or an equivalent technical qualification (HND/Degree preferred).
*
Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in domestic residential construction, defect diagnosis, and preparing schedules of work.

Requirements: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits
