Take ownership of compliance in a technically challenging manufacturing environment Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with an established manufacturing business to recruit a Compliance Manager for its Scunthorpe operation. Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a key permanent appointment with responsibility for ensuring products, processes and systems continue to meet relevant regulatory, legislative and certification requirements. You will work across technical and operational teams, providing practical compliance leadership while protecting product integrity and supporting future growth. As a Compliance Manager you'll play a key role in: Leading compliance with relevant regulations, legislation, technical standards, certification schemes and third-party approvals. Maintaining product compliance throughout design, manufacture, certification and the wider product lifecycle. Managing relationships with certification bodies, testing organisations, auditors and other external technical partners. Reviewing engineering and product changes to ensure regulatory and certification requirements remain fully considered. Monitoring changes to legislation, standards and industry guidance, assessing business impact and coordinating appropriate actions. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining product integrity, strengthening technical governance and ensuring compliance remains embedded within day-to-day business decision-making. Significant experience within a compliance, technical or quality management role in a regulated manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of product testing, certification and third-party approval processes. Experience interpreting and applying complex technical standards, legislation and regulatory requirements. Experience managing external audits, certification bodies and significant technical compliance projects. A track record of identifying compliance risks and resolving complex technical or regulatory challenges. Strong project management, analytical, report writing and organisational skills will be important, together with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at different levels. A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Construction or a related discipline would be welcomed, although equivalent industry experience will also be considered. The successful Compliance Manager will combine commercial awareness with regulatory integrity and a collaborative approach to problem-solving, helping to build greater compliance understanding and ownership across the business.
