Job summary

The role is for 37.5 hours a week working 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. This role is for a 1 year fixed term. The Interview Date is 8th September 2026.

To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the dispensary services in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

Main duties of the job

  • To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures.
  • To work in accordance with written protocols
  • Greeting patients at the dispensary desk and finding out what their query is.
  • Distributing medication or prescriptions as required
  • Handling payment for prescriptions in line with protocol and cashing up the till at the end of your shift.

We are located in the heart of the market town of Pershore, on Queen Elizabeth Drive. The building provides modern consulting and examination rooms and also includes Pershore Community Hospital and community clinic provided by Worcestershire Health and Care Trust.

We are part of the Pershore and Upton Primary Care Network.

The practice has 11 GPs, 2 GP Registrars, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 4 Specialist Practice Nurses, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 3 Pharmacy Technicians, 2 Healthcare Assistants and 1 Phlebotomist.
