A specialist offshore litigation firm is looking to strengthen its Cayman Islands disputes team with an experienced disputes lawyer.

The practice acts on complex, high-value and often multi-jurisdictional matters, with particular strength across commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring, fraud and asset recovery, trust and fund disputes. The team also has a growing profile in cryptocurrency and digital asset disputes, alongside contentious matters involving international businesses, financial institutions and private clients.

The role offers exposure to substantial contentious work, including shareholder and company disputes, contractual claims, jurisdictional issues, civil fraud, asset recovery and applications for freezing and disclosure relief. Lawyers can expect meaningful involvement in cross-border matters and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on strategically important cases.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-7PQE years’ PQE in commercial disputes, litigation, insolvency or a closely related practice;
  • Training and experience from a leading UK, Australian, New Zealand or offshore firm;
  • Strong contentious drafting, analytical and advocacy skills;
  • Experience with complex or cross-border disputes;
  • Commercial judgement and the ability to manage matters with increasing autonomy; and
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term offshore disputes practice. xwzovoh

This would suit a lawyer looking to move beyond highly segmented London litigation teams and gain broader responsibility on complex international disputes within a specialist litigation environment.
