Nursery – Bright Horizons Little DISCoveries Day Nursery & Pre-School

Salary –£29,432.00 per annum

Hours - 09:30-14:00

Shift: Monday to Friday | All Year

We are looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated individual to join our team on a part-time basis to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.

The Role

This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with identified additional needs, helping them to access learning opportunities and thrive within the nursery environment.

You will work closely with the wider nursery team, parents, and external professionals to ensure a consistent and tailored approach to the child's development.

You will implement individual support strategies and engaging activities, while promoting the child's confidence, independence, and inclusion in all aspects of nursery life.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate observations and records to monitor progress and support ongoing planning.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is essential.

  • Previous experience providing 1:1 support is highly desirable.

  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential, depending on experience.
