Early Years Tutor (Home-Based Support)
Somerset Area Needed.
We are looking for a nurturing, creative, and experienced Early Years Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one support for young learners in their homes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting early development, building confidence, and creating engaging learning experiences for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Role Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and age-appropriate one-to-one sessions focused on early literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development
Support children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Use creative, play-based, and interactive teaching approaches to encourage learning and development
Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and developmental stages
Build positive relationships with children and families
Support children with additional needs or developmental delays where required
Provide progress feedback and updates where necessary
Deliver face-to-face sessions within students' homesRequirements
Minimum 2 years' experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN is desirable
Patient, engaging, and able to create a positive learning environment
Comfortable working independently in family homes
Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred
Flexible availability during school hours
Desirable Qualifications
PGCE, QTS, Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or relevant childcare qualification
SEN or speech and language support experience
Experience in nursery, reception, or early intervention settingsAdditional
