Education Lawyer

Merseyside – Remote/Hybrid – £55 - £65 per hour – 3 month rolling contract

Sellick Partnership is recruiting for an Education Lawyer to join a reputable local authority in the North West on a locum basis while the council undertakes permanent recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of complex cases, comprising mainly SEN admission appeals, with minimum supervision.
• Advising on Education law generally, including the preparation of proceedings in relation to Schools and Academies, parents, and pupils.
• Handling a substantial caseload, often working to strict deadlines and on short notice.

Preferences & Working Pattern

Prior experience within Local Government is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will ideally be able to undertake the role on a full‑time basis, although part‑time working patterns will also be considered. Remote candidates may be considered with some attendance.
