They are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the delivery of all electrical construction activities across a major phase of the project, ensuring safe, high-quality and programme-driven execution from installation through to commissioning and handover.Working closely with Project Managers, MEP Managers, engineers, subcontractors, design teams and client representatives, you will lead electrical site delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and drive programme performance across complex mission-critical electrical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of all electrical construction activities across the projectManage electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality deliveryOversee the installation of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, containment, lighting and associated electrical infrastructureMonitor construction progress and implement recovery plans where requiredEnsure all works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards and client requirementsCoordinate interfaces between electrical, mechanical, CSA, commissioning and logistics teamsManage site resources, construction sequencing and short-term planning activitiesReview and resolve technical queries, RFIs and design issues with engineering and design teamsDrive health, safety and environmental performance across all electrical worksOversee inspections, testing, quality assurance, snagging and system completion activitiesSupport commissioning teams through energisation, integrated systems testing and final handoverProduce progress reports and attend client, subcontractor and internal coordination meetingsSupport commercial teams with change management, variations and programme reportingIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain programme objectivesRequirementsProven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on major construction projectsPrevious experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial or major commercial developmentsStrong technical knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems and mission-critical electrical infrastructureExperience managing large electrical subcontract packages and multidisciplinary site teamsExcellent understanding of construction xwzovoh sequencing, QA/QC, testing and commissioning processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentationStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsDegree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related disciplineSMSTS and CSCS qualificationsExperience working within complex, fast-paced construction environmentsPackageHighly competitive salary + comprehensive packageRotation / Accommodation / Living allowance / Travel allowanceBonus / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assuranceLong-term opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developmentsThis is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK's largest and most technically advanced construction programmes.
