Electrical Design Engineer Location: Midlands Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: Competitive, dependent on skills and experience The Opportunity This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in the design and delivery of complex electrical and control systems projects. This role will involve designing electrical systems for a range of automated and industrial applications, supporting projects from initial concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Design electrical and control systems using EPLAN Electric P8. Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and associated manufacturing documentation. Create detailed documentation including terminal plans, cable schedules, bills of materials and safety-related documentation. Generate reports and labelling information, including wire numbers, cable labels and device tags. Import and export engineering drawings in DXF/DWG formats where required. Design and support validation of machine safety systems in accordance with relevant standards. Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical, safety and quality requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle. Provide technical support during build, installation, commissioning and customer handover activities.
