Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment,design,governanceanddeliveryofsafe,compliant,low-carbonandcost-effectiveM&EsolutionsacrosstheCouncil'smanagedestate,ensuringalignmentwiththeCouncil'sclimatecommitments,statutoryobligations,andbestpracticeengineeringstandards.
Therolewillcontributetowardsthecouncil'sambitionsforthedesignofelectricalsystemsthatarelowcarbon.ThepostholderwillbeinvolvedinmodernisingtheelectricalsystemstobeenvironmentallyfriendlyandalignedwiththeLondonBoroughofBarnetlowcarboninitiatives.Therolewillalsohaveresponsibilityforexternalcontractorsandpartners.
2.Keyaccountabilities:ElectricalEngineer Toassist,advise,support,designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate.
Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced,thismayincludeadvice,design,contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering.
SupportandadvisetheLocalAuthorityoncompliance,bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents.
Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam,ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign,defectdiagnosisreports,fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks,feasibilitystudies,conditionsurveys,budgetcosts,Contract Tocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibility Toproduce,manageanddesignofCADDrawingsfordesign Toleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(whereappointed)undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports.
Todevelopandreviewdetailedreports,specificationsand Toreviewandadviseontechnical Toliaisewiththeclientandotherteammemberstoensuredeliverablesaremetandvalueformoneyisprovided.
ToreviewcontractualprogressinlinewithclientobjectivesandKPI's.
Attendandbeavailabletobewithteammemberson TobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelectedMembers,ThirdSectororganisations,publicsectorpartners,tenants,developers,otherlandownersandclientdepartments.
