Electrical Estimator

An established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of tenders across a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Produce and submit competitive, compliant tender proposals within required deadlines.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Attend tender review meetings and provide commercial input where required.
• Work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover of successful tenders.

What we're looking for: 

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a similar estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations and systems, ideally supported by a relevant apprenticeship, HNC, or HND qualification.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365; experience with estimating software such as Trimble would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
