Electrical Estimator or Mechanical Estimator

Electrical Estimator Due to a significant increase in secured workload across major defence, infrastructure and commercial projects, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their pre-construction team.This well-established M&E contractor has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering complex building services projects throughout Scotland. With a strong pipeline of secured projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, defence and public sector environments, they are continuing to invest in their pre-construction function and are looking to appoint a talented Electrical Estimator to support future growth. As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a range of building services projects across Scotland.Working closely with clients, consultants, suppliers and operational teams, you will play a key role in securing profitable new business and ensuring successful project delivery from the outset. Preparing detailed electrical estimates and competitive tender submissions. Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. Assessing project risks, opportunities and commercial viability. Liaising with project delivery teams during project handover. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners. Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services sector. Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations. Experience pricing projects across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or public sector environments. Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documentation. A recognised Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related qualification. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Experience pricing projects ranging from £500k to £20m+ would be advantageous. Candidates with experience in data centres, renewable energy, defence, healthcare or mission-critical environments are particularly encouraged to apply.
