What You'll Do:


Yolk Recruitment is supporting a leading global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join its Cardiff operation.


This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled maintenance team within a well-established industrial environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. You'll play a key role in maintaining critical plant equipment, supporting production performance, and helping deliver high standards of operational excellence.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding on electrical and instrumentation systems.


Installing, maintaining, and repairing motors, drives and associated control equipment.


Supporting the commissioning, calibration and maintenance of process control and measurement systems.


Working on safety-critical equipment including pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation.


Maintaining hazardous area equipment in line with industry regulations and site procedures.


Completing planned preventative maintenance activities and updating maintenance records.


Contributing to continuous improvement projects aimed at improving plant reliability and efficiency.



What You'll Bring:



  • Time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.


Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical, process, industrial or heavy engineering environment.


Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.


Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, and process control systems.


A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.


Excellent awareness of health, safety, and quality standards.


Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.


Experience using maintenance management systems and technical documentation.
