We are hiring for our client, a top-tier employer in the Portadown area, seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance professional who enjoys fault-finding, improving equipment reliability and working within a modern production environment.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will support planned and reactive maintenance activities while contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects across the site.

The position offers a highly competitive salary, an excellent benefits package and an attractive eight-hour rotating shift pattern operating Monday to Friday only.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and minimising production downtime
  • Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, sensors and automated equipment
  • Supporting fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery
  • Assisting with equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records
  • Working closely with production and engineering colleagues
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures

The Person

The successful candidate will have:

  • A level 3 qualification in an electrical related discipline
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working with electrical equipment including PLC, control panels, drives etc
  • The ability to complete both planned and reactive maintenance
  • A safety-conscious and dependable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
