We are currently recruiting experienced Electrical Engineers to join our growing engineering team at our high‑volume manufacturing facility in Barton & Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast‑paced, innovative environment, supporting critical production assets and contributing to continuous improvement across the site. The role operates on either a rotating morning/afternoon shift pattern or a permanent afternoon shift, depending on business requirements. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment. * Respond promptly and professionally to breakdowns, minimising downtime and impact on production. * Undertake detailed fault finding, including working with PLC systems, and complete repairs using strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge. * Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying faults and implement long‑term corrective actions. * Identify, recommend, and deliver improvements to equipment reliability, safety, processes, and technology. * Accurately record all maintenance activities within the CMMS (Shire system). * Support the wider engineering and production teams with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach. * Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with the Integrated Management System (IMS). Shift Patterns Barton Main Site * Week 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday to Friday) * Week 2: 2:30pm – 11:00pm (Monday to Friday) Parrot Street Site (Barton) * Week 1: 6:00am – 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday) * Week 2: 6:00am – 4:30pm (Tuesday to Friday) Scunthorpe Site * 6.00am - 2.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 1) * 6.00am - 2.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 2) * 2.30pm- 11.00pm / Monday to Friday (Week 3) Essential Requirements * Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering. * Current 18th Edition (IEE Wiring Regulations). * Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role. * Proven ability to diagnose faults and work effectively with PLC systems. * Calm, methodical approach with the ability to perform under pressure. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Desirable Experience * Background in FMCG, woodworking, or high‑volume manufacturing environments
