Description
We are hiring an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Days) on behalf of our client, a successful and well-established organisation based in Toome.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance professional who wants to move away from shifts and secure a permanent, Monday-to-Friday day shift position. The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Days) will support the reliability and performance of production equipment, carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and helping to improve engineering processes across the site.
The salary package will be tailored to experience and will range from £40,000-£50,000, plus overtime.

The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and production machinery
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise production downtime
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and provide practical engineering support
- Maintain motors, control panels, sensors, drives and other electrical systems
- Support equipment upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects
- Complete maintenance records and ensure work is recorded accurately
- Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to improve equipment reliability
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety procedures
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks when required
The Person
- Previous experience in an electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
- A recognised electrical qualification
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with production machinery and automated equipment
- Knowledge of motors, control systems, sensors, inverters and electrical panels
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities
- A practical, safety-conscious and solutions-focused approach
- Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous but is not essential
