Job Description:
Trevett Services are recruiting for an experienced
Multiskilled Engineer
Electrically biased,
to join a leading healthcare facilities management contract at one of the UK's largest acute hospitals.
This is a temporary to permanent role working the
late shift
position, working across a complex healthcare estate where you'll play a key role in maintaining critical building services and ensuring engineering systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational. You'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical plant while supporting the continued operation of vital NHS services.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical and electrical building services. Diagnose faults and complete repairs on a wide range of plant and equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems. Ensure all works comply with HTM guidance, Health & Safety legislation and statutory regulations. Support the delivery of engineering compliance across a critical healthcare environment. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and minimise disruption to hospital services. Assist with lifecycle planning through accurate asset data collection. Work independently from drawings, specifications and technical documentation. Maintain workshops, plant rooms and work areas to a high standard. Support the achievement and maintenance of Authorised Person (AP) or Competent Person (CP) status where appropriate. Work within sensitive clinical environments including operating theatres, intensive care units, A&E departments and mortuary facilities. Essential Requirements
Time-served apprenticeship or recognised engineering apprenticeship. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering. - ESSENTIAL City & Guilds BS7671 18 th
Edition - ESSENTIAL 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Testing & Inspection
ESSENTIAL Previous experience within a healthcare, NHS or PFI environment
ESSENTIAL Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across building services. Good knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and statutory compliance. Experience using CAFM maintenance management systems. Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively. Desirable Qualifications
ONC, HNC or HND in an Engineering discipline. Authorised Person (AP) status in relevant disciplines. Medical Gas (MGPS) experience. Specialist Ventilation Systems experience. HV/LV Authorisations. IPAF. Confined Space Training. IOSH or NEBOSH. IWFM qualification. Benefits
