Electrical Technicians Newcastle Upon Tyne Long-Term Temporary Contracts £20.00 per hour Dayshift (initially) potential move to Day/Night rotation as project demand increases with shift allowance This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled panel builders looking for a secure, long-term temporary contract. You will play a key role in assembling, wiring, and testing specialised control panels engineered for high-spec energy and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Wiring, assembly, and integration of control panels to exact client specs and safety standards. Interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and layout diagrams accurately. Fit relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and associated hardware. Carry out initial electrical inspections, continuity checks, and fault-finding prior to testing. Ensure all work adheres strictly to Oil & Gas industry compliance, safety regulations, and quality controls. Skill and Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Technician with a strong background in control panel building. Previous experience within Oil & Gas, subsea or heavy engineering is highly desirable. Relevant recognised electrical qualification, NVQ or City and Guilds with working experience.
