This role is designed for a proactive engineer who wants to move beyond reactive fire-fighting and take true ownership of site reliability. Working with cutting-edge, high-volume automated systems, you will balance proactive PPM strategies and continuous improvement projects with high-level troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Deliver robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, carrying out corrective repairs and lubrication tasks in a timely manner. Perform high-level electrical installation, fault diagnosis on PLC systems, and work with servo motor principles and schematic drawings. Swiftly respond to emergency production breakdowns, using logical fault-finding across automated machinery including conveyors, extruders, palletisers, vacuum packers, form sealers, and wrappers. Support site capital projects, machinery modifications, and the development of clear maintenance SOPs to drive continuous improvement (CI/TPM). Maintain accurate engineering records through the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).What We Are Looking For A time-served, recognised Engineering Apprenticeship paired with an NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (HNC/ONC desirable). Strong multi-skilled capabilities with a robust electrical bias, including 17th/18th Edition IEE Regulations and practical PLC fault-finding competence. Demonstrated experience working on automated packaging, wrapping, or high-speed production line machinery. Advanced electrical wiring skills, the ability to read complex schematic drawings, and a solid understanding of workshop techniques. INDHP
