Electrician – Birmingham Location: Birmingham Sector: Healthcare / Facilities Management Type: Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join the maintenance team at a large healthcare site in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional healthcare environment. The Role You will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical installation, maintenance and repair works across the site, ensuring all systems and assets remain safe, compliant and operational. Your duties will include: * General electrical installations and repairs * Repairing and replacing sockets, switches and lamps * Retrofitting electrical components * Rewiring assets and equipment * Emergency lighting maintenance and testing * Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) * Fuse board inspections and checks * PAT testing * RCD testing * Electrical fault finding and repairs * General electrical maintenance across the healthcare site * Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: * A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * AM2 * Previous experience in electrical maintenance and/or installations * Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills * A strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance * The ability to work professionally within a healthcare environment What's on Offer? * £40,000–£43,000 salary * Permanent position * Stable role within a healthcare environment * Varied electrical maintenance and installation work * Opportunity to work as part of an established facilities team If you are a qualified electrician with 18th Edition, AM2 and an electrical apprenticeship and are looking for your next opportunity in Birmingham, we'd love to hear from you.
