Electro-Mechanical Coil Winder Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey About the Role We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Electro-Mechanical Coil Winder to join our manufacturing team in Sunbury-on-Thames. You will be responsible for building, assembling, testing, inspecting and repairing electro-mechanical products and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, manufacturing instructions and quality standards. This is a practical manufacturing role suited to someone with strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working. Key Responsibilities * Build and assemble electro-mechanical components and assemblies from technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. * Carry out assembly work on fans, motors, heaters and other electro-mechanical products. * Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet required quality and performance standards. * Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or upgrades to electro-mechanical assemblies. * Use a range of hand tools and precision measuring equipment, including torque drivers, micrometers and verniers. * Carry out mechanical operations including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing and lubrication. * Connect cables and wiring in accordance with technical specifications. * Complete functional testing and inspections, identifying and resolving issues where required. * Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation. * Follow all manufacturing, quality and health & safety procedures. * Maintain and care for equipment used within the assembly area. * Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to improve product quality, efficiency and workplace standards. * Work effectively with colleagues across the manufacturing operation to achieve production targets. * Provide professional and helpful support to customers, suppliers and visitors when required. * Support the wider manufacturing team with additional duties, including training colleagues and assisting other departments when required. * Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and within agreed production timescales. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing or engineering. * Experience working from technical drawings, manufacturing instructions or similar documentation. * Good practical mechanical and electrical assembly skills. * Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment. * The ability to identify faults and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies. * Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. * A methodical and organised approach to work. * The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider manufacturing team. * Good communication skills and the confidence to communicate with colleagues, customers and visitors. * A flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the manufacturing operation. * An understanding of 5S, Continuous Improvement or Lean manufacturing would be advantageous. You will work with a variety of electro-mechanical assemblies and will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills across assembly, testing, inspection, repair and manufacturing processes.
