Electronic Technician

Job Role: Electronics Technician Location: Burton-on-Trent Job Type: Contract (6 months min) Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:30 to 16:00 Friday - 07:30 to 12:30 Pay: £18.00 per hour Role Summary This role is the electronic repair, modification and overhaul of train equipment. Key Responsibilities * Work on own initiative or as part of a team within a dedicated team of electricians working to production deadlines. * To carry out repairs, modifications or overhaul of electronic equipment in accordance with work instructions and schematics. * Record components used at each stage of repair, modification and overhaul, for the purposes of reporting and maintaining repair history records. * Where equipment does not achieve required outputs, does not fit together, etc. to investigate, fault find and diagnose likely causes and where possible correct the fault. Notify appropriate personnel of actual and potential problems. * Ensure quality requirements are met by working to technical documents and work instructions. * Carry out minor maintenance tasks and specified routine preventative maintenance. * Raise Non-Conformance Records as appropriate. * Communicate to Supervision/Manager any deficiencies in the production activity as they are detected and suggest any possible actions to correct these deficiencies. * To attend site to provide technical support and assistance to the customer, when required. * Carry out any other reasonable ...
