Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action for defects.
Apply structured problem-solving methods and lean principles to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime.
Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and control plans to IPC and internal standards.
Support NPI: review new designs for manufacturability (DFM), provide feedback to design teams, and lead first-article builds.
Set up and qualify new products, components, and equipment, including feeder, nozzle, and program configuration.
Liaise with customers and suppliers on component, material, and process-related queries.
Provide day-to-day technical support to production, resolving line-down issues quickly to minimise disruption.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of SMT equipment with the maintenance team.
Support equipment evaluation, installation, and commissioning for capacity or capability upgrades.
About You:
Experience in an SMT / PCB manufacturing environment.
Strong practical knowledge of the full SMT process
Proven experience developing and optimising reflow profiles and diagnosing soldering defects.
