An established and highly regarded specialist legal practice is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its claimant-focused team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to take ownership of a varied caseload, work with a broad range of clients and develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of employment matters, providing advice and representation to a range of individual clients and members of professional organisations.
The role will involve:
- Advising clients on a broad range of employment law issues
- Managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution
- Representing clients in employment disputes and tribunal proceedings
- Working with clients across a variety of sectors, including transport, manufacturing, education, healthcare, public services, sport and the creative industries
- Advising clients at all levels of seniority
- Building strong and lasting client relationships
- Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and case law
- Contributing to business development and marketing activity, including preparing articles and other written content where appropriate
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to the wider development of the employment team
You will receive ongoing training and development to support your technical knowledge and long-term career progression.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A minimum of 6 years' PQE, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in employment law
- The ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client management and relationship-building abilities
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality client service
- A commercially aware and practical approach to legal advice
Experience gained within a leading or well-regarded employment practice would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
