Job Title: Controls Engineer Location: 60,000 Bonus & Benefits (depending on experience) Please Note : All Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
Overview : On behalf of a client in Cambridge, Zenovo is looking for a Controls Engineer to join its growing engineering team.
A successful candidate will work across the development, integration, calibration and validation of advanced automotive control systems, collaborating closely with software, systems, hardware and customer engineering teams.
You'll also collaborate with engineering teams globally, contributing to projects from concept and prototype through to production.

Experience supporting the integration of automotive electronic control systems at vehicle level.
Strong understanding of software, controls, systems and hardware integration.
Experience with vehicle commissioning, calibration, validation and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyse vehicle and system data to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
Experience developing and executing test plans across vehicle, bench, HIL, SIL and functional testing.
Strong problem-solving skills across software, controls, communications networks and system integration.
Experience supporting customer demonstrations, prototype development and application engineering activities.
Ability to produce clear engineering reports, support root-cause analysis and contribute to product and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience: Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechatronics, Control, Automotive, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of automotive architectures and ECU-based control systems.
Experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet vehicle communication networks.
Experience analysing vehicle data logs and troubleshooting software, controls and electrical integration issues.
Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
Experience with automotive suspension, vehicle dynamics, active aero, power closure or mechatronic systems.
Knowledge of AUTOSAR and automotive software development processes.
Experience with HIL, SIL, MIL and vehicle testing methodologies.
Knowledge of UDS diagnostics, ECU flashing and configuration.
Familiarity with ASPICE or similar automotive development standards. Experience with Python, MATLAB and/or embedded C, plus hands-on vehicle testing and instrumentation.
