We are looking to expand our Mechanical and Structural Analysis capability in all levels of experience and are keen to hear from you if you feel youre ready to take the next step in your career.You must be a Sole UK National and qualify for Security Clearance.Job DescriptionThe Structural Analysis Engineer will deliver end-to-end structural and stress analysis packages for a wide range of marine mechanical and hybrid structures. You will assess new and ageing assets, evaluating load paths, through-life degradation and other integrity challenges common in dockyard environments.Youll scope, plan and execute analysis work with minimal oversight, producing robust hand calculations, analytical models, and clear evidence to support engineering decisions. A key part of the role is balancing technical rigour with practical delivery timescales while ensuring all recommendations meet safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. This is a customer-facing role that requires confidence working directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, present findings and build trusted engineering relationships.Deliver structural and stress analysis for marine mechanical and hybrid structures .Lead complete analysis packages from initial scope to final presentation.Maintain high-quality documentation, drawings and analysis records.Work Experience Work ExperienceQualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree (minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Experience in structural or stress analysis within maritime, Defence, industrial or other regulated environments.Strong understanding of mechanical structures , load paths and material behaviour .Ability to assess ageing/degraded structures and apply engineering judgement with incomplete data.Experience with structural hand calculations , analysis and FEA tools .Experience working in marine, Defence or other safety-critical environments.Understanding of marine degradation mechanisms such as corrosion, fatigue and long-term material behaviour .Familiarity with hybrid structures combining mechanical and civil-type materials.Knowledge of mechanical handling equipment or dockyard systems .Ability to work with incomplete or legacy data and apply sound engineering judgement .
