6:00am Are you an experienced Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Shift Manager looking to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business? Our client is a well-established FMCG manufacturer with significant investment in its people, engineering function and production facilities. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Engineering Shift Manager to lead a team of engineers on a busy night shift, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, high engineering standards and continuous improvement across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the night engineering team, ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently whilst driving reliability, continuous improvement and engineering performance across the site. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will take a hands-on approach to supporting both planned and reactive maintenance, developing your team and ensuring engineering activities support the delivery of operational targets. Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the engineering team on shift. Minimise downtime through planned and reactive maintenance. Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement. Coordinate engineering priorities with production. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards. Support preventative maintenance and asset care activities. The Person
You will ideally have: An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Engineering experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally food. Previous experience leading an engineering team. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive, hands-on approach. Package
