English Teacher - Secondary SEMH School Remedy Education are looking for a confident and resilient English Teacher to join a supportive secondary SEMH school based in Leyton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school are looking for someone who can deliver engaging English lessons, build positive relationships and help students re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive environment. Role Details: Position: English Teacher Location: Leyton Pay: £200-£270 per day Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP / September roles available School Type: Secondary SEMH School The Role: As an English Teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary-aged students * Support pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour and additional learning needs * Adapt lessons to suit different abilities and confidence levels * Help students build skills in reading, writing, comprehension and analysis * Use strong behaviour management and clear classroom routines * Encourage engagement, confidence and positive progress * Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Qualified Teacher Status or strong relevant teaching experience * Experience teaching English at secondary level * SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience is highly desirable * Strong behaviour management skills * A calm, resilient and consistent approach * The ability to build positive relationships with hard-to-reach learners * A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs This is a rewarding opportunity for an English Teacher looking to make a real impact within a secondary SEMH school based in Leyton.
