Position: English Teacher Location: Winchester Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time | Long-Term Pay Rate: £168–£232 per day About the Role Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Winchester from September 2026. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4. Develop students' confidence, literacy and analytical skills. Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Establish a positive and purposeful classroom environment. Encourage a genuine enthusiasm for English and learning. Contribute to the wider life of the school and English department. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong subject knowledge in English. Experience teaching English at secondary level. Passion for inspiring and motivating young people. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement. ECTs are encouraged to apply. DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
