Environmental Health Officer

Location: Bournemouth Hours: 9 am to 5 pm Salary: £20.29 PAYE Job Type: TEMP Looking for a Environmental Health Officer to join our team, providing support on domestic nuisance casework including noise, light, odour, hoarding, drainage, and associated nuisance matters. You will be responsible for full case management - receiving allocated cases via our Civica system, investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and progressing cases through informal resolution or formal enforcement action where necessary Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of statutory nuisance complaints (noise, light, odour, drainage, and hoarding) from allocation through to resolution Carry out site visits, investigations, and evidence gathering, including reviewing diary sheets, monitoring data, and witness statements Assess whether complaints meet the threshold for statutory nuisance and advise residents and businesses accordingly Resolve complaints through informal mediation and advice wherever possible Serve statutory notices (e.g. Abatement Notices, Community Protection Notices) where informal resolution is unsuccessful Liaise with housing, social services, and safeguarding teams on complex cases, particularly hoarding and vulnerable resident cases Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records on the Civica system in line with council data protection and service standards Prepare evidence and witness statements for enforcement or prosecution cases where requiredIf interested apply with your cv or contact Rocio (phone number removed) --- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
