Environmental Manager (Waste)

Our Group Head Office Division is looking to recruit a Group Environmental Manager. Due to the nature of this role, we are recruiting nationwide. The Group Environmental Manager will support, train, and monitor construction sites and offices to ensure adherence to environmental policies, procedures, and legislation. This role involves accident investigation feedback, audits, training, and liaising with enforcement authorities to promote an environmentally compliant working environment across the organisation. Provide expert advice on environmental matters across the organisation Collaborate with construction, technical, and commercial teams to develop pre-construction HSE plans, surface water management plans, and material management plans Conduct audits to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and internal policies Oversee and assess the performance of external HSE consultants Identify and recommend any necessary environmental training; deliver in-house training when required. Support the Group Health, Safety and Environment Director with ad-hoc projects Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor or Manager is preferred, ideally within a construction or house-building environment Qualifications and training Level 5 or 6 NVQ qualification or HND, Foundation Degree or Bachelors in Environmental Management or related fields Full UK driving licence required Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations IT literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Good planning and organizational abilities Ability to communicate with people on various levels from customers to contractors Willingness to travel nationally for the role Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked Please note this role is subject to a basic DBS and financial pre-employment checks Competitive salary Competitive car allowance Optional salary sacrifice car scheme Competitive annual bonus Contributory pension scheme 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays Access to discounts and benefits portal ShareSave Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Life assurance Holiday Purchase Scheme
