ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic ESOL Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to children and young people who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) and require additional support with their English language development.
As an ESOL Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver tailored lessons that develop pupils' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while helping them build confidence in communicating effectively in English. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher, tutor, or ESOL professional looking to step away from the classroom and provide more personalised and impactful support.
Many of the learners you will work with may be new to the UK education system, refugees, asylum seekers, or pupils who have experienced interruptions to their education. As a result, confidence levels and English proficiency may vary significantly. It will be your responsibility to support learners in developing their language skills, accessing the curriculum, and progressing towards their educational goals.
The successful tutor will have a patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach, with the ability to engage learners from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor the progression of each learner and support effective learning outcomes.
