Estate Gardener – Prestigious Private Estate Location: Ascot / Sunninghill, Berkshire Salary: £28,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm Start: ASAP Keyman Personnel are recruiting for an Estate Gardener to join an established landscape and garden maintenance team working on a prestigious private estate in the Ascot / Sunninghill area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical gardening experience who is looking to develop their horticultural knowledge and build a long-term career within high-end estate gardening. You will be working as part of a small, experienced team maintaining extensive gardens and grounds to an exceptionally high standard. The Role Your day-to-day duties will include: * General horticultural and estate gardening duties * Lawn care and maintenance * Maintaining borders, beds and planted areas * Pruning, trimming and seasonal horticultural work * Ground clearance and general grounds maintenance * Sweeping and maintaining hard landscaped areas and garden furniture * Safe use of gardening machinery, manual tools and power tools * Chemical applications and associated record keeping where appropriately trained * Assisting with both general and more specialised horticultural tasks Training and development will be provided for the right candidate. The Candidate We are looking for someone who: * Has previous gardening, grounds maintenance or estate gardening experience * Has a genuine interest in horticulture and high-end gardening * Is enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn * Works well as part of a small, close-knit team * Is comfortable taking instruction from experienced members of the team * Can also work independently and take ownership of tasks * Has excellent attention to detail * Has a strong work ethic and proactive attitude * Is trustworthy and able to maintain a high level of discretion * Is interested in developing their skills through further training A horticultural qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous but is not essential. PA1 and PA6 qualifications would be beneficial; training can be provided where required. Essential Due to the private estate's location, you must hold a full driving licence and have your own vehicle, as the site is not accessible by public transport.
