At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for an Estates Officer to coverNHSH in Lochaber.
The successful candidates should be enthusiastic and motivated and be able to react and think quickly on how to deal with breakdowns within the NHSH estate, manage small scale projects and efficiently arrange for contractors or in house trades teams to carry out maintenance work safely.
The post is primarily based at Belford Hospital, Fort William at the moment, there will be a requirement to travel to sites all over NHSH.
Theposition will requireeffective management and prioritisation to contribute to the provision of excellent patient care.
What we are looking for
- Experience of managing a team and Contractors.
- A current UK driving licence is essential.
- Applicants must have a recognisedqualifications as detailed in the job description.
- Experience within a health care environment would beadvantageous.
- A great teamplayer who is self-motivated.
- A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessaryand willing toparticipatein the 1:6 on-call rota.
