The company specialises in the manufacture of high-quality machined components for customers across a range of industries and is now looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Estimator to join its commercial team.The Role As Technical Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting business growth by preparing accurate and commercially competitive quotations for both new and existing customers.Working closely with customers, suppliers, production, engineering and sales teams, you will review engineering drawings and technical specifications to assess manufacturing requirements, estimate production costs and prepare quotations that support both customer requirements and business profitability.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in technical estimating, precision engineering or a manufacturing environment who enjoys working with technical information, solving problems and managing multiple quotations.Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate quotations from customer drawings, specifications and enquiriesInterpret engineering drawings, technical data and customer requirementsCalculate material, machining, tooling, subcontract and labour costsLiaise with suppliers to obtain quotations for materials and subcontract servicesWork closely with production and engineering teams to ensure estimates reflect manufacturing capabilityIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce production costsMaintain accurate quotation records and customer informationSupport the sales team with technical information throughout the quotation processBuild and maintain positive customer and supplier relationshipsRespond to quotation requests within agreed timescalesAssist with contract reviews and customer enquiries where requiredContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the businessAbout You The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident working with technical information.You will have excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotations while working to deadlines. xwzovoh
