We’re partnering with a leading global investment firm to appoint an experienced Executive Assistant to join a high-performing front-office investment team.

Working directly with Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts, this is a broad and commercially interesting EA role that goes beyond traditional executive support. Alongside managing the demands of a busy investment team, you’ll become closely involved in Corporate Access, coordinating meetings with listed companies, brokers, conferences and roadshows and gaining real exposure to how the investment team operates.

The pace is high and priorities can change quickly. They need someone who enjoys that environment: an EA who can think ahead, make good decisions, build credibility with senior investment professionals and take ownership without needing constant direction.

The position will initially begin on a temporary basis, with a clear intention for the successful candidate to move into the permanent team.

The Role

  • Provide high-level EA support to Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and other members of the investment team.
  • Manage complex and constantly changing diaries, understanding priorities and confidently resolving clashes.
  • Coordinate detailed UK and international travel, often around demanding schedules and changing requirements.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for the team, anticipating requirements and keeping priorities on track.
  • Play an active role in Corporate Access, coordinating meetings between the investment team, listed companies and external market participants.
  • Liaise with brokers and Corporate Access teams regarding company meetings, conferences, roadshows and management access.
  • Coordinate investor and external meetings, ensuring schedules and logistics run seamlessly.
  • Manage conference attendance and associated travel and meeting schedules.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders across the investment community.
  • Process expenses and manage day-to-day administration accurately and efficiently.
  • Support team projects and wider initiatives as required.
  • Identify better ways of working and proactively improve processes across the team.

About You

You’ll already understand the pace, expectations and attention to detail required when supporting front-office investment professionals.

  • Strong Executive Assistant experience gained within investment management, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, investment banking or a similarly fast-paced financial services environment.
  • Experience supporting Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, investment professionals or other demanding front-office stakeholders.
  • Excellent diary management skills and the confidence to manage competing priorities rather than simply administer them.
  • Strong international travel coordination experience.
  • Exposure to Corporate Access, company meetings, broker relationships, roadshows or investment conferences would be particularly valuable.
  • A proactive and highly organised approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The judgement and confidence to anticipate what needs to happen and act accordingly.
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change.
  • A polished, personable communication style and confidence dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • A genuinely collaborative approach – this is a team environment and they want someone who enjoys being part of it.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

What’s on Offer

  • £65,000–£75,000 depending on experience.
  • Bonus eligibility from day one, including during the temporary period.
  • Initial temporary appointment with a clear route to permanent.
  • Excellent benefits on conversion to permanent.
  • Hybrid working with four days per week in the office.
  • Direct exposure to Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and the wider investment process.
  • The opportunity to develop valuable Corporate Access experience.
  • A highly regarded global investment platform and an established, collaborative team. xwzovoh
  • A role with genuine breadth for an EA who wants to understand the business they support rather than sit on the periphery of it.

For an experienced financial services EA who enjoys the energy of a front-office environment, this offers something different: the opportunity to become embedded within an investment team, build strong relationships with Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts and broaden your experience into Corporate Access and the wider investment process.
