Welder
to join our close-knit manufacturing team
someone who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision-engineered stainless steel fabrications. ??
The Role This role involves the welding of stainless steel Machinery. You will be expected to apply your experience and knowledge to deliver work to the highest standards. Working alongside the fabricating team, you will manage your workload effectively under the direction of the Works Manager. ???
What Youll Be Doing Youll play a key role in producing high-quality bespoke equipment, including: Welding stainless steel fabrications for the food, confectionery, and pharmaceutical industries Carrying out TIG, MIG, and MMA welding to a high standard Working to coded welding standards across various materials and weld joint types Performing full penetration welds and other advanced welding techniques Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings Welding sheet metal fabrications in line with specifications and required tolerances Organising work efficiently, particularly during tacking and welding stages Conducting quality inspections at key stages of the fabrication process Working in tandem with Sheet Metal Workers to coordinate welding activities Correct clamping of work pieces to reduce distortion during welding Responsibility for the quality and finish of your work Completing tasks efficiently within allocated production hours Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment Monitoring and controlling your work area in line with health & safety standards ??
What Were Looking For ??
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience ??
Fully competent in TIG, MIG, and MMA welding ??
Experience working to coded welding standards (desirable) ??
Ability to read engineering drawings ??
Experience working to high standards ??
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset ??
Personal Attributes Strong communication and teamwork skills Proactive with a can-do attitude Quick to learn internal processes and procedures Willing to support colleagues and share best practices High attention to detail and pride in workmanship Strong commitment to health & safety for yourself and others ??
Pay & Bonus £16.28 per hour Weekly pay (£598 basic) Production bonus of up to £66 per week (paid quarterly) OTE: £34,000 per year ??
Overtime Opportunities Time & a half (MondaySaturday) Double time (Sunday) ???
