The Facilities Assistant is responsible for overseeing facilities standards, contractor management, compliance activities and minor works, ensuring safe, compliant and professional working environments. The role works closely with Engineering, Operations and SHEQ teams to drive site improvements, and manage facilities issues through to resolution.

Description
Facilities Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Lead facilities standards across offices, welfare areas, workshops, yards, walkways, signage and site services.
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities and minor works projects.
Manage facilities defects from identification through to completion.
Coordinate contractors, ensuring appropriate permits, RAMS, inductions and site controls are in place.
Support compliance activities including fire safety actions, inspections and audit readiness.
Maintain accurate facilities records, action trackers and contractor documentation.
Monitor supplier performance, service quality and cost effectiveness.
Work with site leadership teams to improve housekeeping, presentation and operational efficiency.
Escalate facilities issues that may impact safety, compliance, operational performance or reputation.Profile
A successful Facilities Assistant should have:
Experience in facilities management, facilities coordination, site services, maintenance coordination, building services or estates management.
Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, recycling, logistics, utilities, construction or similar operational environments.
Knowledge of contractor management, facilities compliance and building services.
Understanding of RAMS, permits, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow actions through to completion.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Job Offer
